Kate Lee (b. Seoul, South Korea) is an art director and video creator whose work bridges motion graphics, 2D animation, and 3D CGI. Her practice explores how visual storytelling can evoke emotion through rhythm, movement, and abstraction. Drawing from both cinematic language and design sensibilities, Lee creates works that translate intangible concepts—such as memory, identity, and perception—into moving imagery.

Her projects range from exhibition videos to commercial campaigns and digital installations. Lee’s visual approach often combines layered textures, spatial transitions, and narrative pacing to construct immersive visual experiences that resonate across mediums.

Lee has collaborated with diverse organizations and studios in both Seoul and Providence, including the Seoul Fine Arts Association, Ageon Inc. (EXOPROXYL), and noku noku, where she contributed to 3D design, product visualization, and promotional media. Her work has been exhibited at the Taipei Art Book Fair and the Rhode Island School of Design, reflecting her interest in the dialogue between motion, space, and audience experience.

She has also served as a Teaching Assistant at the Rhode Island School of Design, supporting courses in Public Projection and Computer Generated Imagery (3D), where she continues to explore the relationship between digital image-making and physical space.

Lee studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA candidate), cross-registered at Brown University for Translating Korean: Fiction, Poetry & Film (2024).

Lee currently divides her time between Providence and Seoul, creating animation, projection works, and short films that merge technical precision with emotional depth.
